DAVID TRUBRIDGE David Trubridge is best known for his eco-conceived collection of wooden lights made of wood from sustainable forrests. By integrating the constraint of ‘flat‑packing’ into the collection he has succeeded in reducing transport to 1/40 of what it would be if they were delivered assembled, and in-so-doing reduced massively their carbon . His work has been included in the collections of a number of international museums (most notably recent acquisitions for the permanent design collection of the Centre Pompidou). His large range of different computer modeled wooden forms, and the possibility to increase the sizes of these to quite substantial proportions has led to them being integrated into projects and public spaces by many respected international architects.
